Habi Sabi Bat Box
Bat box designed by Habi Sabi.
Made in London from a sustainable material, which takes the waste insulation that was once in our walls, cars and fridges and transforms it into a safe and stable sheet material.
Hand assembled - no tools needed - just a little sandpaper.
Flat packed and ready to assemble.
Made of an innovative material that won’t rot, expand or warp. It is not toxic and completely safe for birds and humans.
Habi-sabi is a new concept in urban ecotecture to support wildlife in urban and rural environments. The unique flat pack designs are rapidly deployable – can be built without nails or screws-, more thermally stable than plywood, 100% resistant to moisture, lightweight and durable, with a 25 year material life.
The designs are cut from a material made from recycled insulation which provides improved thermal properties over wood. The pieces are cut by a CNC cutter, packaged and shipped as flat packs with a detailed assembly manual.
Habi-Sabi is designed and made by 51 architecture in London.
