Silkscreen with hand painted wash, onto Kozo 25gsm paper, in artist’s frame
Edition of 12
Framed size: 51 x 84.5 x 5 cm
Accompanied by a signed and numbered certificate

On the occasion of Nottingham Contemporary’s tenth Anniversary, Marc Camille Chaimowicz has created a special new artists’ edition.

The edition which comes in a frame designed by the artist, is conceived as a colour-study for a silk scarf. The repeat pattern, printed in five colours, is split into two halves to imply a fold in the fabric, front and back. Each edition is printed onto a hand-applied background in a colour which recurs in the frame design - resulting in each work being slightly different.

Part of an ongoing work, versions of Study for a Gentleman’s Dress Scarf, have featured in Chaimowicz’s 2017 exhibition 'Now and Then' at Indipendenza Roma, and in his 2018 exhibition 'Your Place or Mine' at The Jewish Museum, New York.

This edition is co-produced by FRAME London.

Marc Camille Chaimowicz (b. post-war, Paris) lives and works in London and Burgundy. He exhibited at Nottingham Contemporary in 2011 with the exhibition: Marc Camille Chaimowicz, Jean Genet: Act I & Act II, 2011.

Please note that this work is framed to order, fulfilment may take up to 8 weeks.
