Hand coloured etching on Somerset Velvet Radiant White 250gsm
41.5 x 46.5 cm
Edition of 60
Signed and numbered by the artist

This edition by Pablo Bronstein was produced by Nottingham Contemporary on the occasion of the exhibition Pablo Bronstein and the Treasures of Chatsworth, 2015.

The etching’s motif featured in the work, is an overflowing sauce tureen in the shape of Chatsworth, considered the earliest Baroque house in England. The tureen is the artist’s invention, but it harks back to The Grand Tour, when elaborate tableware in form of great buildings became a fashionable souvenir.

All profits raised from the sale of this limited-edition work support Nottingham Contemporary’s free programme of exhibitions, educational activities and research programmes.

Pablo Bronstein (B. 1977) is an Argentinian artist who lives and works in London. His work spans from drawing to choreography and performance; always with a focus on architecture. Bronstein’s illustrations reference Baroque and architectural plans of 18th Century yet they are fictitious and have been completely imagined by Bronstein.
